CONFERENCE RECAP

We launched our first Heart 2 Heart Ministries Conference this past June 2023.

It wasn’t your typical “homeschool conference”.
We discussed the “schooling” part of homeschooling and all that entails: but we also took a look at the bigger picture and discussed
all things pertaining to the family, the cultural war against our children and the call to disciple our children within the “home”.

The conference forced us to face the state of our society - it’s a scary world right now. Homeschooling isn’t just a responsibility - it’s necessary to ensure our children are properly fed the word of God, and are equipped to go out into the world as disciples once their time with us is done.

  • I will add that my husband and I drove over an hour to the conference so we chose a date night and stayed in a local hotel. We had to go to a restaurant that stayed open late on Friday night so we could debrief our notes. It was such a special time for us. We had each already individually decided after hearing Heidi that night that we were going to homeschool, but to be able to discuss the details and the impact her words had on each of us separately was neat. My husband cried 5x the whole weekend and he doesn't usually cry. So there's that! :)

  • After 12 years of homeschooling, I needed encouragement that the seeds I am sowing today will produce good fruit for years to come. I needed conviction to keep doing the hard work of raising my kids in a godly way, so that I don’t become weary or lazy in the midst of difficulties. I was so blessed to hear Heidi’s stories, and what God has done in her family. And Michelle Bouse’s breakout session was so encouraging!

  • I loved connecting with homeschooling moms who I didn't already know. I had several moms come up after my breakout to talk and we will connect again!
